Knight Noise: Rutgers Football Audio Ahead of Week 4 @ Minnesota | O’Neil, Kaliakmanis, Zilinskas, Schiano

Ahead of the Rutgers Football team’s week four matchup against Minnesota, WRSU’s Phil Jaccoma, Will Carmenaty, and Nick Hart got a chance to speak with a couple of players during the week.
On Tuesday, Jaccoma spoke with Rutgers defensive linemen Eric O’Neil in an exclusive one-on-one interview. O’Neil recorded three solo tackles, two tackles for loss, and one sack in the Scarlet Knights’ loss to Iowa last Friday.
Rutgers quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis also spoke with the media on Tuesday. Kaliakmanis had another impressive showing against the Hawkeyes last week, throwing for 330 yards and a 60% completion percentage. The two-year captain also recorded two rushing touchdowns and a late-game interception that sealed the loss for Rutgers.
On Wednesday, Rutgers starting center Gus Zilinskas spoke with the media. The Rutgers offensive line allowed three sacks against Iowa; the offense only mustered 86 yards on the ground, averaging 2.3 yards per carry.
Finally, head coach Greg Schiano and the media conducted a rapid-fire interview on Wednesday, looking ahead to the Scarlet Knights’ trip to Minnesota to face the Golden Gophers.
