Late-night car crash near hospital leaves one injured in New Brunswick

A crash late Friday night near Saint Peter’s University Hospital left at least one person injured and caused significant damage to both vehicles.

The accident occurred around 10:50 p.m. on Easton Avenue on the lane adjacent to the hospital. Authorities and eyewitnesses say two cars were involved in the collision, with one vehicle flipping over as a result of the impact.

Two NBPD cars were at the scene by 11:00 p.m, closing the right lane. Emergency responders transported at least one injured individual to Saint Peter’s University Hospital for treatment. The extent of the injuries has not been publicly reported.

Officials have not yet determined the cause of the crash, and the investigation remains ongoing.

This marks the third reported crash in the city this week. Earlier accidents occurred along Route 18 in both Piscataway and New Brunswick.
