RBHS Chancellor Brian Strom Steps Down

President Tate announced today that Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) Chancellor Brian Strom will be stepping down at the end of this fall semester.

Dr. Strom has been at Rutgers since 2013 and has achieved many notable milestones during his term. Strom’s contributions made Rutgers Health a research powerhouse, launching the Rutgers Service Health Corps, and played a leading role in the COVID-19 pandemic response, helping to combat the disease alongside researchers and conducting vaccine trials.

President Tate said that New Jersey has benefited greatly from his efforts in shaping Rutgers Health, and the University is a stronger institution overall because of his leadership of our biomedical division.

Tate also said that in the coming weeks, the University will announce plans for a nationwide search and the appointment of an interim chancellor.
