Rutgers Women’s Lacrosse Comes Away Victorious, Will Face No.3 Maryland in Round 2

Yesterday, Rutgers Women’s Lacrosse made their first appearance in an NCAA Tournament game in 4 years, and defeated Princeton 12-11 in a thrilling back and forth game at SECU Stadium in College Park, Maryland.

The top producers really showed up in full force. Hilary Elsner netted 4 goals, Caroline Ling had herself a hat trick, as well 2 goals a piece from Delainey Sutley and Payton Tini. Stella Quilty picked up the win in goal with 9 saves on 20 Shots faced on goal. It was a big question of if Rutgers would even make the NCAA Tournament, and they come away with a massive victory after an outstanding showing.
