WRSU claims two IBS Awards at annual convention in New York City

WRSU came home a winner from the 2025 Intercollegiate Broadcasting System’s annual conference in New York City, picking up two music-related honors and recognizing multiple WRSU members.

Visual Media Director Evan Leong and Assistant Briana Perez collected honors for “Best Video in a Radio Studio” for their production of Crown Euphoria’s live performance on “Overnight Sensations,” WRSU’s flagship music show. The videos can be found on WRSU’s YouTube channel.

And the Music Department took home a trophy for “Best Station Blog” for the WRSU Music Blog, which featured content by Music Director Jake Falkenstein, Leong and Perez, among others. Their winning content includes written recaps of Gov Ball, Rocking the Rock Fest and other concerts across the tri-state area.

WRSU also featured multiple finalists for awards. News Director Priscilla Senger was a “Best News Feature” finalist for her “feature on”Playwright’s Circle” profile, while Falkenstein and Overnight Sensations co-host A.J. Sollecito were finalists for “Best Live Music Broadcast” for their edition of “Overnight Sensations” with guests Public Access.
